My experience here was good. I tried sometime I have never had before and it was good. It was pricey but I could have split it with my wife had she been with me. It was enough food for 2. This place has changed a few times over the years. I believe the owner told me they have been open for 6 months or so. They are really friendly and personable which was nice. It's not a fancy place but it's not a dirty dive. It's simple and I am ok with that. I will try again and have something different just for fun. Prices are average for our area. This spot is away from all the main areas of town. Kinda on the outskirts.

It's hard for me to give this place a low review. It's run by a sweet Hispanic Family and I want them to succeed in their business. I went here thinking it was Armando's but it's under new management.
The chips and salsa were great. And there's so many homemade salsas to choose from that are all delicious. The aguas frescas are also good (we got Jamaica and horchata) but I don't think homemade.
We ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada, cóctel de camarón, adobada taco and chile colorado taco. The best was the ceviche. It tasted fresh and didn't come out too watery or soggy. The coctel was 2nd best with big pieces of shrimp. The coctel was a bit spicy and the broth/soup too thick (I think they may have put horseradish in it).
Unfortunately the tacos were awful. I was surprised they served the tacos with lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese! Bummer! The meats were all over cooked, the tortillas didn't have the street taco flavor like when they are dipped in oil, and the sauce the meats were in were bland and dense.
I really was hoping this place would be good but was disappointed. I have yet to find good Mexican food in SLO. -

Horrible food...we usually go to Garcia's in Atascadero which is awesome! But we were trying to find a Mexican food spot in Paso...this is not it!!! Food was bland and had half the ingredients for the same price...we will never eat here again!
